What              Children's Writers Critique Group

                        For writers and illustrators of children's and YA books


                        This is a critique group for works-in-progress on children's or young adult books only. No adult novels will be critiqued. Writers will bring a manuscript or portion of a manuscript they wish to share with the group. Each person will have time to read, followed by feedback from the group. Any level is welcome—beginners to experienced writers.


Who               Critique group leader: Pamela Herron       


                        Pamela Herron is a poet, writer, educator, and gardener living in the North Bay Area of California. She is the coordinator for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) for Napa and Solano counties. Prior to moving to Vallejo she coordinated a similar writing group for the SCBWI in El Paso TX and Las Cruces NM. Pamela is also interested in issues of sustainability and diversity. She teaches and writes about China, Chinese culture, and Confucianism and Daoism and their relevance to today’s culture.
