Virtual Reality at the Library (for Adults)

By David Greene

Yes, you read that right: virtual reality at the library. The Fairfield Civic Center branch of the Solano County Library has an Oculus Risk VR headset/goggles and controllers to take you places you’ve never been. Climb a cliff face, stop a robot uprising or simply explore a new world while never leaving the building. The library’s machine is a complete audiovisual and semi-tactile simulation. For those who don’t feel comfortable actually wearing the headset and goggles, the complete visual display will be projected onto a wall. Stop by on Saturday, October 14, 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss this one.

The Fairfield Civic Center Library is located at 1150 Kentucky Street in Fairfield. For more information please go to or call 1-866-572-7587.
