Teen Movie Day – Fresh Dressed: The Evolution of Rap Fashion

By Andrea Klecki

Celebrate African American History Month at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library! We'll be watching a film offered by our new movie streaming service, Kanopy, on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ever wondered how rap fashion became so iconic? Did you know that hip-hop fashion got its start in NYC with rival gangs wearing denim vests and sewn-on patches taking their fights to rap battles instead of the streets? Learn about this and more about the history of rap and hip-hop fashion in the documentary "Fresh Dressed: The Evolution of Rap Fashion."

Teens and tweens age 12 to 18 are welcome to attend.

The library is located at 1020 Ulatis Drive. For further information call 1-866-57-ASKUS or look on the library website at www.solanolibrary.com.
