The Vacaville Cultural Center Library will have a “Walk Like an Olympian” program and parade for kids to celebrate the 2016 Summer Reading Challenge and the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. Children can come to the library on Tuesday, Aug. 2 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to make an Olympian themed costume, and march in a parade with their costumes around the library at 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. All materials will be provided.

“The kids can dress up however they like! Maybe a deity like Athena or Poseidon? Hermes with wings on their feet? Or Medusa with snakes for hair? Or maybe just an average ancient Grecian with a tunic and a torch!” says Nancy Vitavec, the children’s librarian at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library.

The library is located at 1020 Ulatis Drive. For further information call 1-866-57-ASKUS or look on the library website at www.solanolibrary.com.
