Solano County Library is urging local residents to take a brief survey about the services and resources the public would most like to see offered by their local public libraries. The public online survey is available from Aug. 22 to Sept. 30 at www.solanolibrary.com.

“This is a chance for residents in Solano County to have a say about library services now and in the future,” said Bonnie Katz, director of library services.

The online survey is part of a strategic planning process that Solano County Library has launched to obtain comprehensive feedback about library services from residents.  In addition, the Library will be conducting stakeholder meetings, focus groups and town hall meetings to collect local input.

Three town hall meetings have been scheduled in Vallejo, Vacaville and Rio Vista, similar meetings in Fairfield and Suisun City will be scheduled this fall.  Town halls will be held on:

  • Wednesday, Sept 21, 6-7:30 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy Library, 505 Santa Clara St., Vallejo.

  • Thursday, Sept. 22, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Ulatis Community Center, 1000 Ulatis Dr., Vacaville.

  • Friday, Sept. 23, 3:30-5 p.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall, 610 St. Francis Way, Rio Vista.

Members of the public who prefer to provide private input via email can do so using the address solano@librarystrategy.com.
