What              Author Event – “Monte Rio” by Mark Joseph

Mark Joseph will discuss and read from his latest book, a novel about spies, terrorists, and the Bohemian Grove. Kirkus Reviews says it’s “a mighty entertaining espionage thriller with elements that bring to mind The Magnificent Seven.”  Mr. Joseph is a native of Vallejo and has written several other action/suspense novels.

Who               Mark Joseph: “Many years ago I learned to read in the old Carnegie Library in Vallejo, and I am still using the English language as my weapon of choice. From 1976 to 1984 I was editor of The New Deep City Press in San Francisco. In 1986 Donald I. Fine published my novel ‘To Kill the Potemkin,’ a New York Times bestseller which many critics consider the finest nuclear submarine novel ever written. Other folks think ‘Typhoon’ (1991, Simon and Schuster) was better. In 2015 I returned to live in Vallejo where I finished “Monte Rio” and arranged for its publication by Black Rose Writing, a print-on-demand publisher in Texas.”
