Solano County workers may be eligible for larger tax refunds this year because of the EITC, or Earned Income Tax Credit.  But to get it, they must file a tax return and claim the credit. Solano County Library’s Super Saturday free tax preparation events make it easy to file the necessary paperwork.

2017 Super Saturdays take place on February 4 at the Fairfield-Civic Center Library,  February 11 at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library, February 18 at the John F. Kennedy Library in Vallejo, and February 25 at the Suisun City Library.  IRS-certified volunteers will prepare returns from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at each session, with the last taxpayer intake at 2 p.m.

The Library partners with United Way Bay Area, the Internal Revenue Service, and other local agencies to provide those making less than $54,000 a year .with the free service.

For more information about Super Saturdays, call the Library at 866-572-7587.  For other free tax preparation sites in Solano County, call 211.
