Attendees will gain educational and historical musical knowledge presented in an entertaining format. Mr. Rahn will talk about the meaning of Mardi Gras, the parades, the rhythms and songs, and piano players from that era like Professor Longhair and Dr. John.


Who               Greg Rahn’s piano style is a silky smooth blend of jazz, blues and roots music. His compositions are dripping with honky-tonk, funk, blues and blazing boogie-woogie influences from New Orleans pianists like Professor Longhair, Pete Johnson and Dr. John.


                        As an in-demand musician, he has performed with a diverse range of artists including rock guitar legend Ronnie Montrose, Gamma with Davey Pattison, blues legend Chris Cain, and Latin jazz artists Pete Escovedo, and Ray Obiedo.


                        A passionate composer, Greg’s work can be heard on over 200 video game titles such as Marvel: Contest of Champions; Lord of the Rings: Legends of Middle Earth; and Star Wars: Uprising. His soundtracks have been honored with various industry awards.
