COVID-19 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Solano County Library is preparing for a phased re-opening.

The plan will begin with the re-opening of book drops at all nine branches on Monday, May 18.

Library materials that were borrowed before and during the branch closures now may be returned. The Library asks that the following not be returned in book drops: Link+ items, board games, and musical instruments. We ask patrons to hold onto them a little while longer.

Any fines incurred during the closure period will be waived.

Returns will be quarantined for 72-hours before being processed and re-shelved.

Curbside service for materials pick-up will continue but the branches will remain closed to the public until further plans are finalized.

  • When will the branches reopen to the public?

At this time, we are closed until futher notice. We will keep you apprised on our reopening date.

  • Due Dates and Holds:

As of Monday, May 26, 2020, due dates will no longer be automatically extended.  Please return any items checked out before the closure or through curbside service by Monday, June 15.

Beginning Tuesday, June 9, items will be held on the hold shelf for 7 days.  Until that day, any items on the hold shelf will continue to be held until  Monday, June 15.

No late fees will be assessed for items that could not be returned during the closure.
