In order to support Solano County’s goals to build a healthy and well community, Solano County Library will focus programming in 2020 around health literacy.

“Live Well with Your Library” is our year-long health initiative. From circulating blood pressure kits, to flu shot clinics, to yoga classes for kids, and walking book clubs,

the Library will provide resources and programs for physical, mental, and community health.

We offer a variety of resources on different health topics at each of our branches. Our health materials are available in print, online, DVD, and various electronic formats.

Mindful Movements for Preschool 

Storytime, creative movement, and play for ages 3-5.

Fairfield Civic Center Library

Paint Your Way 

We provide the supplies and inspirational images of space. You provide the vision and put paint on a canvas.

Creative arts, like painting, can give teens an alternate outlet to share their inner feelings and thoughts.

Suisun City Library

Feb. 6  4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Roving Readers Book Club

Want a unique book club experience to exercise both your mind and your body at the same time?

Join us at the Roving Readers Book Club! Each month we will meet and discuss a book while going for a walk outside.

This month's book is: "Where the Past Begins", a memoir by Amy Tan. Call or stop by your favorite library to request the book!

Vacaville Public Library- Cultural Center

Live Well with Your Library: Art Rocks - Adult rock painting program
       Come join other adults in an arts and crafts program where we will paint garden stones.

Fairfield Civic Center

2/18/2020  6:00 p.m. to  7:30 p.m.

 

Mindful Music 

This energy-filled class combines music, movement, drumming and creative expression. It encourages healthy attachment, stress management, and

emotional self-regulation for children and their caregivers. Instructor Kathryn supplies the instruments  Ages 3+ and caregivers/parents are welcome. 

Additional sessions will be held on 3/26 at 6:30 PM and 3/30 at 10:30 AM. Sponsored by First 5 Solano.

Art and the Cosmic Connection

School aged children's programs meant to inspire creative and critical thinking using fun arts, crafts, games, and more. 

Children 7 to 18 are welcome and accompanying adults are welcome too.
