The Impact of Measure B

A fraction of a cent yields big results.

The passage of Measure B, a 1/8th of a penny sales tax passed in 1998, allowed the Library to make dramatic improvements in service to Solano County residents.   These improvements were ones promised during the campaign and effectively show how the promises made, were the promises kept.

• Hours open to the public doubled  
• The budget for books and other library materials quadrupled
• Programs for children and teens tripled
