Families for Literacy

The Families for Literacy (FFL) program is for learners who have a preschool aged child. This program is built upon the premise that the parent is a child's first and foremost teacher.

FFL seeks to break the cycle of illiteracy by enabling adults to support and enhance the emerging literacy needs of their children. Families receive free children’s books along with instruction on how to read to children.

Qualifications:

  • At least one adult in the family is receiving literacy instruction.
  • At least one child in the family is under 5 years of age.
