2017 Teen Tech Week Photo Contest Winners

Each year Solano County Library celebrates Teen Tech Week as a way to support the work of young people as they explore, create and share their talents. The Digital Photo Contest is an opportunity for teens to express themselves in our digital world and be recognized for their creativity.

Over 100 teens from all over the country submitted their best photos. The work was judged by photographers from The Vallejo Times Herald and The Daily Republic. All winning photos will be on display during Teen Tech Week through March 31st .

Teens ages 12-18 submitted their best photos by email or by hash tagging their photos #TeenTechSolano2017 on Instagram. The winners were required to be local so that they could collect their prize—a chance to meet and work with local photographer Brian O’Reilly in his studio.

Thank you to all the contestants for bringing art into the library. Your photos were full of talent, color, and emotion. We hope you all continue to practice your art.

Congratulations Anna Risse for winning the Grand Prize, and congratulations to all the winners who will be displayed in our libraries.
