Branch History
Springstowne Library opened in 1956 to serve Vallejo’s eastside neighborhoods. The branch was remodeled and expanded several times, most recently in late 2007. Springstowne is the smallest public library in the Solano County Library system but one of the busiest! In fact the branch is sometimes described as the busiest branch per square foot. The branch is within walking distance of 14 schools.
The Vallejo Springstowne Library offers a lending seed library to anyone interested in gardening.
We have a variety of seeds as well as a succulent cutting exchange. We also accept seed and succulent cutting donations.
