Book: It’s Kind of a Cheesy Love Story

As the title presumes, this story is one that really exemplifies the stereotypical “cheesy love story.” However, instead of entailing simply to the common romance story, it follows more of a coming of age storyline. The novel follows the life of a sixteen year old girl named Beck who was birthed on the floor of a pizza shop, earning her the nickname of the “Pizza Princess.” Although her life already seemed like it was unfortunate (especially with her being born in a pizza place), Beck is destined to fix all of the problems in her life and at the end of the day, become true to herself. This novel really captured the obstacles in the world of public education in which people begin to stray from who they really are, simply so they can have more friends. Regardless of whether they conflict with their own morals, they would choose to give up on themselves in order to fit in. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who may be just entering high school or even if you just want an interesting story. Thank you, Lauren Morrill, for writing this wondrous novel!
