After a couple postponements, the long-awaited Amy Tan author event is set to take place 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater. Originally scheduled for March 2020, the event was postponed due to the uncertain nature of whether social gatherings would be permitted or advisable.

She was also the co-producer and co-screenwriter of the film “The Joy Luck Club.” Her essays and stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, and her work has been translated into 35 languages. Tan is the subject of the PBS produced documentary “Amy Tan: Unintended Memoir” which premiered at Sundance in 2021 and can be streamed on Netflix.
