Mychal Threets—author, former Solano County Library librarian, and Reading Rainbow host—will celebrate his new picture book, I’m So Happy You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy, with an uplifting talk for families. A book signing with Mychal will follow the presentation.

Ticket Information (Please Read Carefully)

This is expected to be a very popular event, and space is limited.

  • Tickets available beginning Saturday, January 24

  • Pick up tickets at any Solano County Library location

  • Tickets are first come, first served

  • Limit one (1) ticket per person

  • Each person must be present to pick up their own ticket

  • Tickets cannot be picked up for someone else

  • All ticketed attendees will receive free books at the event

How many tickets can I pick up?
Tickets are limited to one (1) per person, and each person must be present to pick up their own ticket. This helps ensure fair access for everyone.

Can I pick up a ticket for someone else?
No. Tickets can only be picked up by the person who will attend and must be present at the time of pickup, including children.

Do I need a ticket to attend?
Yes. All attendees must have a ticket to enter the event. If the event is sold out, standby seating may be available if there are no-shows.

How does standby seating work?
If you don’t have a ticket, you’re welcome to arrive on the day of the event and let library staff know you’d like to be placed on standby. Standby seating is first come, first served and not guaranteed.

Who will be available for the book signing?
At this time, Mychal Threets is the confirmed author available for a book signing following the presentation.

What about parking and arrival?
Parking is available in the Fairfield Community Center parking lot, with additional street parking nearby. We recommend arriving early to allow time for parking, check-in, and seating
