Genealogy
The Library subscribes to databases in which one can search a variety of records as well as learn how to do family history research:
Ancestry.com, a genealogy resource with access to historical records and family trees for discovering, preserving and sharing family history. Ancestry is only free when accessed from a Solano County Library computer.
HeritageQuest Online, a genealogical database with access to census data, family records and local histories.

Test proctoring is available to the public at all branches of the Solano County Library system. The library’s ability to proctor tests is limited to branch operating hours and the availability of staff. Please contact your local branch by phone (1-866-57-ASKUS) or submit an e-mail to schedule your appointment at least two weeks prior to your desired examination date. The library will try to the best of its ability to fulfill all requests, but cannot guarantee test proctoring services.
