2024 Teen Photo Contest Fine Print Rules

Eligibility: Any teen age 12-18 in Solano County

Contest Period: Submit entries February 1- March 8, 2024 by 9PM Pacific Standard Time. CONTEST EXTENDED TO MARCH 15TH, 2024

Prizes:

  • 10 winning photos (1 from each photo category) will be displayed in our library branches. Category winners may request to keep the print of their winning photo from the library branch of their choice.
  • 1 grand prize winner chosen from the 10 category winners will spend one session learning from a local photographer. An adult chaperone is required to collect the grand prize.

How to Enter:

  • Email: Send your photos to teentechsolano@gmail.com. Include your Name, City, photo Category, and Title of Photo (optional).
  • Instagram: Use #sclphotocontest2024. Include your Name, City, Photo Category, and Title of Photo (optional). Important: Make sure your privacy settings allow the Instagram account ‘Solanolibrary’ to see your submissions.

Contest Rules: You may submit one entry per category. Solano Library staff or its guest judges shall choose the winners from all entrants who have submitted an entry during the submission period. Winners shall be selected based upon which submissions are the most original, artistic and/or funny expression of the theme and category. The decision of the library is final. Prize winners will be notified by email or Instagram on or before March 29. Entrants will only be eligible to win one category each year.

Library Use of Entries: By entering your work, you acknowledge that Solano Library shall have the right to use, modify, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, or make derivative works of Entry Materials for promotional or any other purposes.

Original Work: You hereby warrant and represent that (a) you own all rights to all Entry Materials submitted by you; and (b) all such Entry Materials are original works of authorship on your part and have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any other work and do not violate, misappropriate or infringe any copyright, trademark or other proprietary right of any other person or entity. You hereby verify that you will provide full written permission of any recognizable person, and their guardian if they are a minor, who are depicted in your Entry Materials.
