The Elsie M. Castner Oral History Project was made possible by grants from the estates of Robert F. Cocklin, Ruth Castner Cocklin and others.

The Dixon Public Library undertook this project in 1998 with the assistance of Chris Castaneda from CSU, Sacramento. The library holds the original audio and video recordings, and the text is available for patrons to view.

These interviews were performed by Chris Castaneda, Paul Ferrell, Terry Cook and Nancy LeRoy. The proofing and preparation of the transcripts was performed by Marilyn Costamagna, Shirley Parsons and Marianne Sommers.
